Age is nothing but a number

Many of you out there would believe in the statement that "age is nothing but a number" n i don't blame you for it because today there are so many exceptions like warren buffet, L.K.Advani,Amitabh bachchan,Madona,omar abdullah,etc; who can be cited as a proof for your statement moreover we also know it well that if we have the will power and the determination to do anything then nothing can stop us no matter how old or young we be but we also know that exceptions are always there...and I believe that age is more than just a number because there are so many things like experience,wisdom,to an extent perfection n even respect which is considered to be associated with your biological age. It may be sounding harsh but its true that Respect which you may fail to gain even through your wisdom n knowledge,will always and surely be gained through your age.Not only this even When we see the sepia-tinted assertions of our grandparents we may not be able to relate it with the original person who is present in front of us but we still trust that its the same person who with the passage of time n due to his age has physically changed so much.It may sound funny but its a fact that while treating our siblings we try to dominate them by showing that we are more sensible n know more than them and always end an argument by saying that "I M ELDER THAN YOU so you better do what i say n don't argue" and he/she in his/her defending low voice always blame "WHY AM I YOUNGER or rather why there's no one younger than me whom i can scold or order ". There's few more points like in India one is given the right to cast his/her vote only when one turns 18,which is definitely a number but is assumed to be a symbol of maturity as we are tagged as an adult only after attaining that age.Not only this even for obtaining the driving license (no matter how early u have learn to drive) you will be required to cross your teen age.. :P In the present "numbers don't lie" era,even for getting married u need to attain a specific age then how can we say that "AGE IS NOTHING BUT A NUMBER!!!"....??? -Prerana
